It is sometimes difficult to understand what a cat is thinking or experiencing. To provide one example, how can you tell if a cat likes you or not? Since cats are unable to communicate verbally, you will need to discover another method. The following are some pointers that can help you get in touch with your cat's feelings:
1. Through Her Mane
The way a cat moves her tail is frequently a reliable indicator of how she is feeling. If her tail is hitting you or another surrounding object with a lot of force, it's possible that she's getting anxious about something.
On the other hand, if her tail is erect or coiled around you, or if it is playfully hitting you, this is most likely an indication that the cat is content. She is letting you know that she is having a good time with you at the moment and that she is feeling quite relaxed.
2. As if purring
The majority of cat owners, if not all of them, are aware that purring is an indication of a cat's happiness. The more audibly she purrs, the more she appears to be enjoying her time spent in your presence.
Do not, however, let this fact lead you to believe that your cat despises you simply because it does not purr when it sees you. It simply indicates that your cat does not purr very often or that she is not in the mood to do so at the moment. Do not, however, let the fact that she does not purr discourage you.
3. She accompanies you everywhere you go.
The desire that your cat has to remain in constant proximity to you is an excellent indicator that she adores you and values your company. She will follow you everywhere you go, including into each and every room in your home.
Many times, your cat will want to be the focal point of attention being paid to her. Therefore, if you are working on something on your kitchen table, for example, she will hop up on your table to observe you. She will want to be in the bathroom with you if you are having a bath, and she will want to sit with her paws on the side of the bathtub. She will make an effort to be the center of your attention.
4. Your cat won't allow you to leave the house because she's bored.
Let's say you have to go to work today. Your cat decides to sit in front of you just as you are about to leave the house and head for the front door.
The message that your cat is trying to convey to you is that she does not want you to go. She is aware that you need to go, but she does not want you to do so. She would like for you to remain with her and keep her company.
You have no choice but to go past her and exit the room. There is nothing else you can do. You might also take her up and give her a brief embrace while telling her that you adore her and are going to miss her very much. Additionally, she will be missing you.
5. I've Been Kneading On You
Kneading is a behavior that cats engage in frequently; however, when they perform it on your lap, it is an indication that they trust you. They kneaded their mother when they were young to stimulate milk production, which is why they think of you as their mother.
Kneading is another indication that someone is marking you. However, this behavior is certainly an indication of affection and trust on the part of your cat.
There are other ways in which cats can communicate their affection for their owners. For instance, they could bring you gifts (often ones that were once alive), chat with you in cat language, or just stare at you. It is my hope that you will be able to comprehend the love that your cat has for you and that this comprehension will inspire you to have a deep affection for and concern for your feline companion.
